The duo behind popular teenage horror movies including Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the Angel TV series, Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon finally saw the release of A Cabin in the Woods. The first sentence of the movie’s synopsis begins predictably: “Five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods. Bad things happen. If you think you know this story, think again…..THE CABIN IN THE WOODS, a mind-blowing horror film that turns the genre inside out.”
A woman stands up for liberty and civil rights in a country oppressed by a military dictatorship. She suffers years of house arrest and separation from her family, but becomes a symbol of her people’s struggle for dignity and self-expression. The film is Luc Besson’s take on the real-life (and on-going) saga of Nobel Laureate, Aung San Suu Kyi.
